PureEnergyPremium is our 100% GreenPower accredited renewable product which we'll ensure that an amount of electricity (equal to 100% of your electricity account) has been or will be generated by 'new' GreenPower Generators1 using renewable energy sources and delivered to the national electricity grid 2.

We'll ensure that the PureEnergy Premium amount of electricity generated from renewable sources is additional to the amount used to satisfy our compliance obligations under Commonwealth and any State renewable energy target legislation3. Please note that, given the pooling nature of the national electricity grid, the electricity consumed at your home or business may be from electricity generated from renewable energy sources, electricity generated from non-renewable energy sources, or a blend of both types of electricity.
PureEnergy Premium costs a bit more. It is designed for those who are able to financially support and encourage the further generation of electricity from renewable energy sources at a higher percentage contribution.
For residential customers, PureEnergy Premium can be purchased for a contribution of $99.00 (ex. GST) or $108.90 per quarter (inc. GST).

NEW GREEN REWARDS
We know that taking one of our green options costs you more, so we want to reward you. We will pay your PureEnergy charges for one quarter!
It's simple - if you take up PureEnergy 10 or Premium anytime from now until the 18 July, 2008 and remain a PureEnergy customer until the 31st March, 2009 - a quarter will be on us!*
* Credit will take place on 15 April 2009 so look for it on your bills after that date. You must remain a PureEnergy customer continuously to 31 March 2009 to receive the credit.

1. Under the National GreenPower Accreditation Program, a “new” GreenPower Generator is an electricity generator or increase in generator capacity which was commissioned or first sold energy (whichever is earlier) after 1 January 1997 (or the launch of the GreenPower Product, if earlier) and which is approved as a GreenPower Generator under that program. The electricity will be generated during the same calendar year as your electricity is supplied).
2. We will ensure that this generation occurs by purchasing the “GreenPower Rights” associated with the generated renewable electricity and allocating those rights to PureEnergy.
3. We will ensure this by purchasing sufficient Renewable Energy Certificates to correspond with the quantity of renewable electricity covered by this product and not surrendering those certificates to meet any of our renewable energy target compliance obligations (thus preventing the generation covered by those certificates from being counted towards those compliance obligations).
